In autumn and winter, the biggest problem for most dry sensitive skin is facial redness. It is medically called facial telangiectasia. The appearance of telangiectasia means that your skin becomes fragile, dry, sensitive, and even tingling. How do repair and relieve the redness of the face?
That is, the elasticity of the capillary walls is reduced, the fragility is increased, and the blood vessels continue to expand and even rupture unevenly, which causes the facial skin to become red, and the expanded capillaries are visible to the naked eye. Often accompanied by red or purplish-red spots, dots, lines, and other phenomena, it is called telangiectasia.
There are three states of telangiectasia: inborn telangiectasia, acquired telangiectasia, and pseudotelangiectasia.
Inborn telangiectasia is also known as hereditary telangiectasia. This type of telangiectasia has weakened skin since childhood and is prone to redness and hotness.
Acquired telangiectasia is caused by incorrect skincare or the external environment. For example, excessive cleansing of the skin, and long-term use of corticosteroid drugs or products cause telangiectasia, resulting in thinning of the skin. Or, long-term exposure to high temperatures and cold environments can cause skin irritation.
Pseudotelangiectasia is the expansion of capillaries caused by bacterial infection, the skin is in a state of inflammation, redness, dryness, and even peeling.
Based on the above three kinds of telangiectasia formation, the prevention and treatment methods are also different.
Because the cause of inborn telangiectasia is not clear, the complications caused by it cannot be cured by topical skincare products and need to be resolved by medical means. External skincare products can only play a role in relieving discomfort and protecting the skin.
Acquired telangiectasia and pseudotelangiectasia can be treated with external skincare products. The repair treatment has the following three aspects:
- Increase skin barriers strengthen
Telangiectasia is often clinically associated with sensitivity, by strengthening the skin’s barrier function, penetrating the cells to fundamentally block skin sensitivity-inducing factors, thereby completely improving the skin’s sensitive state, improving skin immunity, and thickening the skin stratum corneum, enhancing skin tolerance, and effectively prevent facial redness.
- Repair capillaries
First of all, we need to choose high-protection skincare products to play an effective protective role on the surface of the skin, and use active ingredients to soothe the skin, so that the capillaries are not stimulated by the outside world.
Secondly, avoid staying outdoors for a long time in a harsh environment, and reduce the damage to the skin caused by the environment such as cold, hot, haze, and wind.
- Sun protection
Be sure to use sunscreen every day to keep away from the strong UV radiation that activates free radicals in the body, so that the fragile skin suffers more free radical attacks. A large number of cells die, resulting in a decrease in the elasticity of the capillary wall and an increase in skin inflammation.
